Shawn Mendes recently joined Taylor Swift for a performance on her Reputation Tour, and honestly, he can’t stop gushing over it!

To be fair, we can’t stop gushing over their performance either!

If you’ve been following Taylor Swift’s Reputation Tour closely so far—and let’s be real… who hasn’t? —you’re probably well aware of the fact that she’s already brought some special guests onstage to perform with her, including Troye Sivan, Selena Gomez, and yes… Shawn Mendes.

To the delight of many diehard fans, Shawn joined Tay at her Los Angeles tour stop on Friday May 18th. Just like the fans, Shawn couldn’t get over it, and on the red carpet at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday, he couldn’t stop himself from gushing about the awesome experience with E!, and talking about what it meant to him.

He said, QUOTE, “It was unbelievable. It was obviously just really awesome to be back and to be with her, but it’s a very different thing to be brought out as a special guest from opening.”

That’s not all Shawn discussed on the red carpet, though. He also talked about traveling the world to promote his latest self-titled album, why the song “Youth” with Khalid is so important to him, and he even opened up about his anxiety.

We couldn’t agree more!
