It’s been roughly 2 years since Selena Gomez walked a movie red carpet, and it’s felt like forever. We last saw Sel at the premiere for The Fundamentals of Caregiving, but this year’s Hotel Transylvania 3, allowed us to be graced with her presence, and we are forever grateful.
In a matching Oscar de la Renta 2-piece, Selena looked like summer perfection. She accessorized with high heeled sandals and some Tiffany & Co. jewels. And her tied back hair and subtle glam was so cute and cas and we’re all about it. The theme of the afternoon premiere was tropical, and Selena did not disappoint.
The singer/actress has voiced the role of Mavis for all the three Hotel Transylvania films, and there’s already talk of a 4th installment.
Nearby, celebrities were gathering for the Families Belong Together march, and Selena had a lot to say about the current immigration issues and the separation of families at the US/Mexico border, telling The Hollywood Reporter QUOTE “It’s extremely disheartening. There’s a lot of confusion and anger.” Selena is Mexican-American, and is from Texas, so these issues have definitely hit close to home. Selena went on to say QUOTE ““It’s definitely been affecting so many people who are close to me.”
It’s so great to see Selena speak out about these issues, and it’s honestly just so great to see her on the carpet!
You can also catch Selena in her latest ads for her upcoming fall campaign with Coach. Yes, it’s barely summer and Selena’s over here getting us way too excited for fall. Coach released two ads featuring Sel on the streets of NYC, one with her in a blush silk dress, the other in a black lace dress and choker. So even though I’m not necessarily ready for autumn weather just yet, this newest campaign is sure to be a hit.
