Let’s be real, you guys… we’re all super invested in the lives of the Kardashian/Jenner fam, but in between all of their family drama, one thing we didn’t quite pick up on was the fact that Kendall Jenner was struggling with her mental health.
That’s right! Kendall recently opened up to LOVE magazine for their 10th anniversary issue about the struggles she’s been facing, and why she was absent from the runway last season.
She said, QUOTE, “Last season I didn’t do any shows. Just ‘cause I was working in LA and I was like, ‘Oof, I can’t right now— I’m gonna go crazy.”
To be honest, we all know that feeling of having too much on our plate at one time, but according to Kendall, it all became so overwhelming that she was, QUOTE, “on the verge of a mental breakdown.”
In hindsight, it all makes total sense. We mean, Kendall wasn’t walking runways for the fall/winter 2018/19 season, and she completely skipped Paris Fashion Week, which is an event she typically wouldn’t miss. Don’t worry, though. She did return to the runway in June when she walked in the Versace show during Milan Men’s Fashion week, and of course, she absolutely crushed it.
Still, Kendall’s lavish lifestyle can definitely get stressful at times and be too much to bear.
She told the mag, QUOTE, “I live a very extraordinary life. I wouldn’t change it for the world but there are days where I wish I could walk outside and nothing would be like it is right now.”
This isn’t the first time Kendall’s opened up about her struggle with mental health either. Back in January, she told Harper’s Bazaar all about her anxiety.
She said, QUOTE, “I have such debilitating anxiety because of everything going on that I literally wake up in the middle of the night with full-on panic attacks.”
Clearly, it was a good choice for Kendall to take a step back from her modeling career to focus on her mental health, and even though we love seeing her strut down the catwalk in all of the latest fashion, her mental health should always come first… don’t you agree? As always, let us know all of your thoughts in the comments section below.
