Demi Lovato and Christina Aguilera’s “Fall in Line” music video is here and one fan came up with an interesting theory about what it’s really about.

Let’s just say, Disney is going down.

Fresh off their killer performance at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato released the music video for the girl-power anthem “Fall In Line” and it does not disappoint.

The song is all about breaking free from things girls are supposed to do, standing up to powerful me and refusing to fall in line with societal norms. See where the title came from?

In the video, we see the powerhouse vocalists go from being carefree little girls to hostages in an underground lair. They are kept in cages, chained up and put on display with multiple cameras in their faces. Fans couldn’t help but notice the similarities between what was happening in the music video to what goes on in celebrities’ lives and came up with a pretty crazy, but spot-on theory about what it’s really about.

Twitter user Demetria Love wrote QUOTE “Demi Lovato and Christina Aguilera were both children actors in Disney and under public scrutiny, them teaming up and overcoming it is the concept of the Fall In Line music video.

The person goes on to point out that Christina and Demi are kept in jail cells and the guards only let them out to go perform. She thinks that the men controlling the screens as the girls perform are meant to represent two Disney directors and continues QUOTE “Demi is shown to be imitating her famous scene from Camp Rock in the video, showing that at that time she was be controlled while with Disney.”

TOSS: 2:58-3:04

Christina started her career on Mickey Mouse Club and Demi’s big break came when she starred alongside the Jonas Brothers in Camp Rock. The 37-year-old said about the song when it first came out QUOTE “To anyone who’s ever felt silenced and repressed, the truth seekers and bold thinkers… may you liberate your voice and break the mold, never back down, and never fall in line.”

The song and video can obviously be interpreted in many different ways depending on how you look at it, but this theory actually makes a LOT of sense. Do you think Christina and Demi were actually sending a big eff you to Disney with it? What did you think of the video as a whole?
