Ariana Grande was feeling FREE this Memorial Day and gave fans the first taste of a new song from her upcoming album Sweetener. Ari had previously revealed on Twitter that a track called “The Light is Coming” would be the next song that fans get to hear following her single “No Tears Left to Cry”. What we DIDN’T know is that Ari would be teaming up with her girl Nicki for a THIRD time.

Now we’re convinced that it IS possible to love a song after just one listen. After Ariana tweeted the clip Nicki retweeted it with some of the song’s rap lyrics writing, “Can’t let a EFF boy EFF up my nice vibez! Yo Ariana come lemme gih u a high 5!!!!!!!” So yeah, we’re officially hyped. If you recall, Nicki and Ari first collaborated back in 2014 on Jessie J’s song “Bang Bang”. Fast forward to 2016 and the two had their first proper collab with “Side to Side” on Ari’s Dangerous Woman album. And 2018 now marks the year we get a brand new Nickiana banger. We really should have seen this coming just two weeks ago when Ariana tweeted her love for Nicki out of the blue. “I love my big sis @nickiminaj so f*ckin much” and followed it up with, “there’s jus nobody better.”

No word on when we’ll get to hear the new collab in full. We personally love that “The Light is Coming” sounds like a drastic departure from their first duet. Hopefully we’ll get to hear the track in full before Sweetener arrives, but if not, the album is expected to drop this summer. So what do you guys think of Ari lip syncing this teaser clip? And what’s your first reaction to the new song? We gotta hear from you below, but then after that click here for a rundown of alll the controversial topics from the new season of 13 Reasons Why. I’m your host Emile Ennis Jr, and I’ll see you next time.
