It’s Official! ABC is bringing back the Conners family, but this time without Roaseanne.

The reaction to this news has been mixed, but let me give you all the deets about the new show.

So, you probably remember that when the Roseanne reboot returned to network TV in March, it was the highest rated sitcom in over 3 years! The premiere had over 27 Million Viewers and was getting great reviews by critics and viewers alike. All was going well until Roseanne Barr tweeted a racist tweet specifically targeting Obama’s former aide, Valerie Jarrett. ABC removed the show from the network, but now they are bringing it back without Roseanne. ABC has given the greenlight to “The Conners” which Deadline says is a working title, but this will be a spinoff of Roseanne slated for fall 2018. So far the show has been approved for 10 episodes, but sources say that Roseanne will have no involvement financially or creatively after settling with series producer Tom Werner. In a statement, Roseanne said QUOTE, “I regret the circumstances that have caused me to be removed from Roseanne. I agreed to the settlement in order that 200 jobs of beloved cast and crew could be saved, and I wish the best for everyone involved.” The cast is set to reprise their roles, but we will have to see how Roseanne’s character will be written out of the show.

But in the meantime, let us know what you think about the Roseanne spinoff. Are you going to be watching? Let us know in the comment section below.
